This 65 year old pensioner lives on his own in his onsite van in a caravan park.
For more than 4 years since the 2022 floods, he had no functioning toilet, plumbed in water, nor acceptable electricity connection to his van. His electrical wiring was damaged by the flood.
He doesn’t have any family or other support networks, and is finding it very challenging to manage his day to day life and health issues.
Due to several serious chronic health issues, this man can only walk very short distances, and doesn’t drive a car. He uses an electric buggy in the caravan park, and also to go shopping and attend medical/hospital appointments. His ability to travel is very restricted by adverse weather conditions.
He is currently undergoing major lung surgery and ongoing treatment.
Due to his health status, he is unable to maintain his personal garden area, which requires urgent maintenance and a good clean up.
Support from Givit to engage a gardener would be very, very helpful.
