Our organisation works with families who are currently experiencing homelessness and assists them to secure permanent housing. A lot of the families that we work with enter our program with only a backpack and have to completely rebuild their homes, including furnishing the property and purchasing essential clothes and toys for their children. As local services have had their budgets reduced, or programs closed, it’s becoming increasingly harder for these low-income families to get support with this process.
