The client is a grandmother aged 60+, currently receiving the (DSP), residing in Housing, is experiencing significant financial hardship and housing stress. She is living in overcrowded accommodation with her grandchildren, who are currently in her care due to their one mothers incarcetration the other daughter is facing addiction in rehab
The grandmother has a history of (FV) and (DV) and continues to experience significant health issues, which are impacting her overall wellbeing and capacity to manage the additional caring responsibilities and financial pressures.
The family is experiencing multiple vulnerabilities, including housing overcrowding, financial hardship, intergenerational trauma, health concerns and increased caregiving responsibilities along with the children needing assessments.
The grandmother has been referred for financial assistance and counselling to support her immediate needs and emotional wellbeing.
