2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred
Young mum with 8 month old baby. Has just fled a DV relationship to ensure hers and her baby's safety. Prior to this she had recently moved house as the house they had lived in for the past 2 years required significant repairs due to damage from Cyclone Alfred. She has very limited informal supports and has significant trauma history having fled a DV relationship previously also. She suffers with panic disorder and CPTSD as a result, previous DV perpetrator was convicted and jailed for his actions. Having to move exacerbated her mental health due to concerns of having to leave the home - her 'safe place'. She has enrolled to study to better herself and find some structure and normality in life, and will commence soon, however needs glasses and is unable to afford new ones at this stage, her last ones were broken by ex-partner. Any assistance to provide relief in the way of vouchers to purchase glasses, household/grocery items etc. would be most appreciated.
