This retired farming couple lost their home and all possessions to bushfire in January 2026. They had worked hard all their lives, being 3rd generation farmers and passing the farm down to their son to continue the tradition. The couple are recipients of the aged pension. Sadly their home and possessions were lost to the bushfire and upended their retirement. This couple are about to receive a 1 bedroom modular home through a government accommodation program and require a fridge, washing machine, bed and dining table to furnish it.
This couple is tough as nails and extremely grateful for every bit of support they get.
