This Indigenous woman has lost her permanent accommodation due to trauma and DV and lives with severe Complex Trauma, including flashbacks, hearing voices, and medical trauma from past hospitalisation. She has repeatedly fallen through the cracks and has not received the support needed to sustain a tenancy or navigate the housing system.
I am assisting her to apply for social housing and supporting her with an NDIS application, however this may not be successful. In the meantime, she moves between staying with family, motels, or Link2Home, none of which are stable or safe long term.
She is living in poverty and often cannot afford food. She rarely asks for help and is a gentle, deserving person who would deeply appreciate support.
