My client is a recently arrived humanitarian entrant currently engaged in full-time study through TAFE and actively working towards re-establishing her professional career in Australia. She holds a medical qualification from Afghanistan, which has been formally assessed and recognised, and she is now progressing through the registration pathway with the Australian Medical Council.
A laptop is essential for her to complete coursework, access online learning platforms, prepare job applications, and manage documentation related to her professional accreditation process. At present, she does not have access to a reliable personal device, which is creating a barrier to her study and employment progression. She is highly motivated and consistently engaged in both education and career development activities.
Providing a laptop would significantly support her independence, improve her access to opportunities, and assist her transition into the Australian workforce.
