Recipient story

43 year old single mother of five, rebuilding her life after domestic violence
First Nations Support
Domestic & Family Violence
43 year old single mother of five, rebuilding her life after domestic violence, is facing overwhelming challenges. With no childcare support, she was forced to give up work to care for her children, who have complex needs including ADHD and require frequent school pickups. She is navigating stressful court processes while coping with emotional and financial strain, often feeling isolated and under pressure.
Without a car, she walks everywhere, managing daily responsibilities under difficult circumstances. After her washing machine broke and flooded her home, she has been handwashing clothes for the entire family, leading to painful dermatitis that worsens with each load.
Despite everything, she remains committed to her children’s wellbeing and is doing her best to hold things together. Any support offered would make a meaningful difference to this resilient mother and her family.
