Financial assistance to support family in rebuilding safe sustainable housing due to ongoing DFV
Domestic & Family Violence
The family have been residing in domestic and family violence crisis accommodation for almost a year, often having to relocate to other refuges due to the perpetrators high levels of coercive control, systems abuse and financial abuse that has continued to stop the family from progressing in their journey of healing and recovery and moving onto safe and sustainable long-term accommodation. Despite the multiple barriers put in place against her, the mother has continued to proactively search for housing and advocate for her family to access the supports required to assist her with obtaining and sustaining a home. Thanks to the mother's incredible resilience and advocacy, the family are currently in the process of transitioning into a new safe home. Any vouchers for financial support to purchase household items that are outside the flexible assistance capability would be greatly appreciated by the family (specific items requested are TV and a desk for child's study).
