Hygiene packs to support young people's health, wellbeing and self-esteem as they experience financial hardship

I'm a youth worker at a NFP mental health organisation in Busselton. Over recent months, i have noticed a growing number of young people struggling to access basic hygiene products such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, sanitary items, and soap. For many of the young people I work with, these essentials items are simply unaffordable due to financial hardship, unstable housing, or limited family support.
As a result, some young people are making unsafe or risky choices to meet these basic needs. This highlights not a lack of responsibility, but a lack of access to essential items that many of us take for granted.
I are seeking a donation of a Coles or Woolworths voucher so that I can purchase hygiene products and distribute them to young people in a safe, dignified, and supportive way. Having these items readily available allows us to:
Reduce risk taking behaviour linked to unmet basic needs, Support young people’s health, wellbeing, and self-esteem.
