Children aged 0 to 17 in emergency / foster / kin care or escaping domestic violence, or living in extreme poverty often own nothing but what they are wearing when leaving a dangerous situation. They may have no warm clothes, no clothes that fit, no undies, no toothbrush, toothpaste or other toiletries,
Some may still have a parent, but have lost their home, and are living in cars or tents.
Some are alone and homeless.
All of these children are struggling to meet basic clothing, hygiene and well-being needs that most of us take for granted.
We need new large (teen-size) backpacks, new clothing size 000 to 18, new toiletries, new stationery, activity books, toys, reading books (babies to teens) for thousands of children in need, in out-of-home care, or in crisis, each year. Thank you very much for your kind assistance.
