My client is a single mother of five children who arrived in Australia approximately two years ago through the humanitarian program. She is currently unemployed and experiencing significant financial hardship while trying to provide for her family.
The client lost her husband overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been raising her five children on her own ever since. In addition to the emotional impact of this loss, she is experiencing ongoing health issues, which make it even more challenging to manage her daily responsibilities and care for her children.
The family does not have a refrigerator, creating significant hardship. Without a fridge, the client is unable to safely store essential food items such as milk, meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, and other perishable groceries.
