The client is a 53-year-old First Nations woman who has recently secured stable housing with support from the housing service. She had been sleeping rough for several years due to domestic and family violence (DFV), as well as significant grief and loss following the death of her son, which contributed to her homelessness. The client is generally reluctant to seek assistance; however, she is currently experiencing financial hardship associated with setting up her new tenancy. She requires support to purchase essential household items to establish a safe and functional living environment.
