After enduring domestic and family violence, a local mother and her two daughters are finally being given a chance to rebuild their lives.
For the past six months, this small family has experienced homelessness, moving from one motel room to another with no place to truly call home. The constant instability has taken a significant toll on everyone, particularly the mother's youngest daughter, a four-year-old child with Level 3 Autism who is non-verbal and relies heavily on routine, consistency, and a safe environment to feel secure.
The family has faced unimaginable challenges. Not only has the mother been navigating the impacts of trauma and homelessness, but she has also been caring for two daughters with disabilities while trying to keep them safe, supported, and hopeful during an extremely difficult time.
