FLOOD RECOVERY: Elderly carer and son in need after flood damage

This request is for an elderly mother in her 80s and her adult son, who lives with a physical and cognitive disability and relies on her as his primary carer.
Their home was significantly impacted by the floods, with water flowing throughout the entire home. They were forced to evacuate and spent weeks in an old, dilapidated caravan.
Upon returning home, they worked hard to clean and make the property as liveable as possible. However, due to severe financial constraints, they have been unable to replace essential household items lost or damaged in the flood. They are still sleeping on flood-affected mattresses and their oven remains non-functional.
This household was already experiencing financial hardship prior to the disaster, and the impact of the floods has significantly worsened their situation. They have not been able to recover or regain stability since the event.
