A 29-year-old Indigenous mother has recently welcomed her second child, a beautiful baby girl. After experiencing homelessness due to the ongoing housing crisis for 4 years, she has now been offered a unit for herself and her child.
Throughout her journey, she has shown remarkable strength, determination, and warmth. Despite managing very limited finances through the public trustee and facing many systemic barriers, she has remained actively engaged with multiple support services and continued to advocate for safe and secure housing for her family.
With a home now secured, she is seeking support to purchase essential household items to set up a safe and nurturing environment for her newborn and herself.
Her goal is to create a comfortable, secure home where she can raise her child.
