A family is currently navigating the challenges of supporting a child living with disability, including managing behaviours that can be unpredictable and distressing. During a recent episode, significant damage occurred within the home, leaving them without important household items and adding financial pressure at an already difficult time.
The family is doing their best to create a safe, stable and supportive environment while awaiting further support through an approved plan. However, the impacts of these incidents have created additional stress and hardship. Support during this time would help ease some of the immediate pressure and allow the family to focus on caring for their child and maintaining a sense of normalcy at home.
