The mother in question has been struggling to pay her rent and provide for her family due to being left to provide for her children on her own. Sadly, she lost her mother recently and now has to come up with money for the funeral and for the Cultural Sorry Business obligations that is a part of the Torres Strait Islander funeral services. Her mother was living on the mainland, so the daughter has had to find money to have her mother's body transported to Torres Strait Islands. It falls on her and her siblings to pay all the costs and to provide food for family attending the service and to provide for family staying with them prior to the funeral. She would truly appreciate any food vouchers that can assist with the food costs. The family are desperate and need help!
