Asylum seeker with spinal cord injury needs outdoor table/chairs to safely enjoy backyard and support wellbeing.
GIVIT
We are seeking a donation of a sturdy outdoor dining table and chairs for a client with a spinal cord injury and very limited mobility.
The preferred table size is approximately 1.5m–2m in length and around 900mm wide. Weather-resistant materials are preferred.
The client is an asylum seeker currently living in shared accommodation with very limited income. Spending time outdoors in his backyard is one of the few activities he can enjoy independently, and it is important for his mental health and overall wellbeing.
Recently, his housemate moved out and took the outdoor table and chairs, leaving him without suitable outdoor seating. Due to financial hardship, he is unable to purchase replacement furniture.
A donation of an outdoor setting in good, safe condition would significantly improve his quality of life and daily wellbeing.
