This young mum and her four‑month‑old son have spent months without a place to call home. With no family to rely on, she has been moving from couch to couch, doing everything she can to keep her baby safe. The instability led to child safety raising concerns, not because of her love or care, but simply because she was homeless.
After being referred to the Brave Foundation, she showed incredible determination and commitment. In just six weeks, she worked tirelessly with her mentor and last week received the news she had been dreaming of, approval for a two‑bedroom flat for her and her son.
While she now has a home, it is completely empty. She has no furniture or essentials to help her start over.
