This request is for a grandmother who has taken on the full-time care of her three grandchildren. The children have experienced significant challenges in their young lives and have complex needs that require a high level of care, attention and advocacy. Stepping into the primary caregiving role has been both emotionally and financially demanding. While she is deeply committed to providing a stable, loving and safe home for her grandchildren, the responsibilities associated with raising three children with additional needs have placed considerable pressure on her limited financial resources. Many of the children’s needs require ongoing appointments, support services and additional care, which can make maintaining financial stability extremely difficult. Everyday living costs, combined with the extra demands of caring for children with complex needs, have created significant financial strain.
