Aboriginal single mother recently escaped domestic violence and has secured stable housing but is now at risk of homelessness due to rent arrears and loss of employment. Caring for her 10-year-old daughter and nephew, she is under significant financial strain. Her credit has been impacted by a $2,500 debt left by a family member. Tenancy matters have escalated to ACAT.
Family urgently needs grocery and fuel vouchers to manage day-to-day living and maintain tenancy. Also seeking winter clothing (size 12) for child and women’s shoes (size 7).
Household includes two dogs; one is 15 years old and unwell, adding emotional and financial stress.
Support is critical to prevent homelessness and stabilise the family after DV.
