Grandfather is the primary carer for his two teenage granddaughters, following their mother’s repeated incarceration and minimal involvement in their lives. He is an Aboriginal man who has provided consistent care and stability for the girls throughout their upbringing and has now taken on full-time responsibility. The current housing is unsuitable, with the property too small to meet their needs, requiring both teenagers to share a bedroom. A priority transfer is currently being pursued to secure more appropriate accommodation. He is a strong, respected support within his family and community and very rarely seeks assistance. Due to current financial strain, support is requested to assist with food and essential pharmacy items to ensure the girls’ health, wellbeing, and stability are maintained.
