Recipient story

Essential clothing donations for mum & daughter who have reunited and living in a remote women’s hostel
Domestic & Family Violence
First Nations Support
Other hardship(s)
A first nations woman who has shown remarkable resilience in rebuilding her life after leaving a domestic and family violence situation. Now the sole carer of her 10-year-old daughter, she has worked hard to create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for her family.

She has made the courageous decision to relocate to a remote community to support a fresh start and is committed to strengthening family relationships while continuing her recovery journey. She actively engages with support services, attends appointments, and is preparing for future employment opportunities as she works towards long-term independence and positive community participation.

Access to clean, comfortable clothing will help remove a practical barrier during this period of transition. It will support her to attend appointments with confidence, prepare for employment, care for her daughter, and remain focused on achieving her goals of building a healthy, stable future for her family.
