I am writing in my role as a Tenancy Support Officer to request assistance for a single mother and family violence survivor who is currently working hard to maintain safe and stable housing. The has made significant progress in improving her property. She has cleaned and cleared her backyard and house, and with support, we have also been able to install CrimSafe security and a camera system to improve her safety. These steps have been crucial in helping her feel secure and maintain tenancy standards. At this stage, the remaining concern is the carport area, which requires shelving or storage solutions to safely organise belongings. Without adequate storage, loose items present a risk of the client receiving another housing standards notice, which could jeopardise her tenancy.
We are seeking a donation of shelving, storage units, or materials to help tidy and organise the carport area. This support would assist the client to remain compliant with housing.
