Recipient story

Young 4th generation farmer lost his home, shedding, farming equipment, fencing to bushfire in Jan 2026.
2026 Victoria Bushfires
This young farmer is 4th generation on the property. He lost his home, fencing, farm sheds, feed and equipment to bushfire in January 2026. He is living in a borrowed caravan however it was also damaged by the fire and he has tarps for windows and an outdoor toilet that his mates knocked up for him. He is working on getting a cabin or similar put on the site (hopefully before winter arrives).
He is in the process of fixing fences, rebuilding sheds, replacing water tanks etc. There is a long way to go.
As a 4th generation he is determined to continue farming the area his family has farmed for many years. They have a proud history of providing beautiful, high grade merino wool.
This man is a hard worker no doubt and hasn't wasted any time trying to get back on his feet. He is a very practical man and he has a plan to get the farm back to production.
He could do with a bit of help to see him through the next few seasons.
