2026 Victoria Bushfires
They stayed and fought to protect everything they had built, determined not to abandon their farm when the fire came through. While they managed to save the main house, much of their livelihood was lost — sheds gone, the old dairy destroyed, and the old farmhouse that was still in use reduced to ruins. Their cattle have been moved off the property until it’s safe for them to return, leaving the land quiet and uncertain. This farming family has suffered an enormous loss, but they are holding on to hope as they face the long road of rebuilding what the fire took from them.
