The purchase of a laptop and school uniform and stationery to assist young person starting back at school.
GIVIT
The young person has recently been placed back with her father after spending considerable amount of time in the Out-of-Home-Care system. The young person is returning to mainstream high school following a year of home-schooling due to bullying. Unfortunately, the young person will not commence the year with a school uniform as the family are struggling with some financial issues and have said they currently cannot afford this.
Being able to start the year feeling ready and equipped for school will alleviate some stress and hopefully she will not experience the bullying she has in the past. The young person does not have a laptop and as she is entering year 10 this will be an essential item.
The young person is highly motivated for education and has spoken about being a lawyer in the future. Having adequate uniforms, stationery and a laptop will hopefully help this young person to reach their full potential.
