The client is a woman seeking asylum currently on a bridging visa, who is 5 months pregnant. She is enrolled in a Certificate III in Individual Support through a hybrid (online and in-person) course.
Due to her pregnancy, she requires flexibility to complete coursework from home. However, she does not have access to a computer or laptop, which is now impacting her ability to participate in online learning components and complete assessments.
Access to a laptop would enable her to continue her studies, build skills, and improve her long-term employment prospects in the care sector. This is particularly important as she prepares for the arrival of her baby and aims to achieve financial independence.
