Groceries and Bunnings Vouchers Urgently Needed
2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred
Aged couple 70 and were impacted by T/C Alfred.
Their house was totally shifted of its mounting blocks and has been unsafe and unstable to reside in. The couple have worked around the clock trying to secure their belongings on their front garden covered up under tarpaulins.
Their huge block is like a rabbit warren and they have to navigate their way through their back, side and front yard to live and work.
Currently have no electrical connected to their property they also have no plumbing facilities and are waiting for works to commence on their house which is estimated to be approx, 2 months.
Sleep in a swag on their lawn and have to pack it up every time it rains as the rain flow flows into the space where the sleeping has been designated.
Showering in the local gym and using amenities' in the local public facilities,
Both on aged pensions, desperate need for food and bunnings vouchers to help with ongoing repairs
