In the 2022 flood this young man's home had flood water up to the internal ceilings of his home and everything he owned was removed in the following weeks.
Diagnosed with depression, he recently also found out he is also neurodiverse, explaining why he has struggled with the recovery process. This wonderful young man was unaware of what supports were available, felt too embarrassed to ask for help and currently lives alone in his unrepaired house.
In 2019 he lost a beloved uncle, they bonded over a shared love of music and his uncle left him all his musical equipment in in his will. These were all destroyed by the 2022 flood, with the lost connection to his uncle being particularly devastating.
While he navigates the slow and complex process of recovery and to support his mental health, we are looking to repurchase some of the musical items his uncle had left him, so he can reconnect to his memory of his uncle and experience the joy of making music once again.
