For forty years, she has been the sole carer for her adult son living with an intellectual disability. He relies on her for everything. But now, she is facing end-stage renal failure. She wakes up with profound fatigue that makes getting out of bed feel impossible. Yet, she forces herself up. She has to. Her son is waiting. Though the structural damage had been rectified the home contents have not. There is no insurance to cover the damaged items. With no money beyond an aged pension, she cannot afford to replace the damaged items. The woman who spent her life caring for others now desperately needs care herself. Through GIVIT, you can help.
