A young mother and her three infant children recently relocated from Queensland to regional NSW to escape domestic and family violence and establish a safe new beginning. Having left her support networks behind, she is now navigating life in an unfamiliar community without family or friends to assist her.
The family is experiencing significant financial hardship as they work to establish a stable home. The cost of securing housing and meeting basic living expenses has left limited capacity to purchase essential household items. The mother is currently sleeping without a suitable bed, her infant does not have a cot, and the family has no lounge furniture. Access to a clothes dryer would assist greatly, particularly with caring for three young children during winter.
The family's only vehicle is also in need of repairs, limiting their ability to travel to access services, appointments, shopping, and community support.
