A family has been profoundly impacted by the January 2026 bushfires, which destroyed their home and everything in it. In the aftermath, they were forced to live in a caravan for an extended period before securing temporary rental accommodation from March to August 2026.
Losing their home and belongings has deeply affected the family, requiring them to rebuild their lives from the ground up. The ongoing recovery process has taken a significant emotional toll, contributing to exhaustion, affecting their ability to work, and leading them to seek mental health support. While they have made gradual progress towards regaining stability and routine, their recovery journey is still ongoing.
