Father of five, rebuilding after war — help them feel safe and start again

He fled the war in Gaza with his wife and five children, grateful simply to be alive. Starting over in his 40s has been hard. He’s studying English, holds security and first-aid certificates, and is actively seeking evening security shifts so mornings are free for school drop-offs and appointments. He left a low-paid job that couldn’t cover expenses, and with only one car the family is juggling everything on a shoestring.
The two youngest still sleep on the floor and are often afraid of the dark, reminders of nights they survived back home. He’s doing everything he can to steady his family—showing up to classes, applying for work, and saying yes to any opportunity that helps them stand on their own.
