The family needs urgent assistance for a full mould treatment of their home after 2022 floods.
Flooding 2022
The Broadwater clients had their residential dwelling inundated with floodwater during the 2022 flood event. Being a 2 story dwelling, the water came to the ceiling of the bottom floor, with moisture then seeping through the entire home. The residents did what they could with limited means and then moved back to the dwelling. The family is impacted by disability with the father having vision loss and not able to work, mother having autoimmune issues (these have been heavily impacted by the mould) and young people suffering anxiety and mental health issues which have been exacerbated by the flood event. For the family to be able to get back to some kind of normal, a full mould treatment (see attached quote) is desperately needed. The family does not have the resources available to be able to do this on their own. Urgent assistance is required.
