Beauty Services

University of Canberra ACT 2617

We are seeking support for a young person in care who is currently living with her mother and siblings in a household experiencing significant financial hardship. The family does not have the discretionary income to support any birthday-related activities or self-care services. As part of celebrating her birthday and promoting her wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem, we are requesting a Visa gift voucher that would allow the young person to access a beauty service of her choice, such as having her nails, eyebrows, or lashes professionally done. This would provide her with the opportunity to participate in a positive and age-appropriate experience that many of her peers are able to enjoy, but which is currently beyond the family's financial means. This support would enable the young person to celebrate an important milestone, feel valued and included, and contribute positively to her emotional wellbeing during a challenging period for the family. The flexibility of a Visa gift voucher would allow her to choose a service that best meets her preferences and needs.
