Through our professional interactions, it is evident that this client has experienced significant emotional and financial hardship as a direct result of the violence and abuse she has endured.
She also lives with a traumatic brain injury and has begun engaging with support services after recognising that she has been subjected to domestic violence and disability abuse over a period exceeding 12 years. Her journey toward recovery and independence has been greatly affected by these experiences. Her circumstances have changed dramatically since the perpetrator’s departure from the home. Despite separation, the emotional and financial impacts of the abuse continue, and the perpetrator’s actions have ongoingly affected her ability to financially provide for herself and her child.
