Mother and her daughters do not currently have adequate furniture to sleep on and have been sleeping on air mattresses on the ground. They moved to Australia from New Zealand in May 2026, and have lived in a number of houses since moving back, mostly with extended family of herself and her partner and have not had a permanent address until now for the time being. Mother has complex mental health and is currently experiencing domestic violence including financial abuse and coercive control, she is in the process of engaging in mental health services, accessing Centrelink income and enrolling her children into school and is struggling to manage all these responsibilities. She has reached out to her family for support with accessing beds due to the cost however this has not been successful and she is seeking support.
