Recipient story

New in Australia, supporting his family alone, financial hardship
GIVIT
He fled Afghanistan with his wife and their little boy, age 5. Starting again has been tough: he’s learning English from the ground up, living with depression and anxiety, and shouldering the responsibility of supporting his family on his own. Without a car, long bus trips make work and appointments hard, but he keeps showing up, working toward his licence, attempting safety courses, and saying yes to any honest job he can reach.

Back home he worked with his hands, carpentry, flooring, painting, and in kitchens, and he’s eager to do the same here once language and licensing hurdles are cleared. Right now, the pantry runs low before the week does, and the stress is heavy on his young family.

If you’re able to help, your kindness will bring immediate relief - groceries and essentials that ease today’s pressure, while he builds language, licences, and confidence to work. Thank you for helping a devoted father and his 5-year-old find steady ground and hope! :)
