Bushfire impacted family who lost everything, requires furniture for temporary modular home.
2026 Victoria Bushfires
The family was impacted by the January fires, which resulted in the loss of their home and all belongings. The family was significantly underinsured.. The family are moving into a modular unit, providing secure accommodation for the interim, while they continue to plan and work toward their recovery from the fire. Given the small size of the unit, many of the furnishings and appliances that the family have obtained in the months following the fire will not fit in the space. Given the family’s significant underinsurance and limited fixed income (Aged Pension), they are not in a financial position to purchase these essential home items. Funding would support the purchase of appropriately sized items, reducing further financial impact on the family and supporting them with a functional living environment.
