Carer Struggling to care for partner and keep on top of expenses

53yr indigenous man is caring for his partner who has severe deforming rheumatoid Arthritis, for which she is immunosuppressed. She has been in hospital on a number of occasions due to infections. They are only on DSP and CA, their rent is $700 per week which leaves little for medications and food. Also, the frequent visits to specialists and hospitals has made things very difficult for them financially at this time. Applications are in process of being made for NDIS but they require assistance now. Normally they manage with a little help from family, but as this is now a frequent occurrence they feel they are running out of options. they have looked at cheaper rentals but due to partner being in a wheelchair there is nothing available that is suitable for her health and disability needs.
They also need to buy equipment which they are currently hiring but are unable to do so due to lack of finances.
