Single mum has demonstrated significant motivation, resilience and resolve while facing considerable challenges to secure a safe and stable rental property for herself and her newborn baby. The family has been impacted by natural disaster, further compounding an already vulnerable situation.
Her former partner is currently in custody for violent Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) offences committed against her while she was pregnant. Due to the severity of the DFV, she previously experienced homelessness and, while pregnant, spent four months in temporary accommodation before securing her current rental property.
The mother is actively engaging in DFV counselling and has maintained sobriety following completion of Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) rehabilitation. She is committed to creating a safe, stable and secure home environment for herself and her newborn.
Financial assistance is requested to help establish essential furniture in the newly acquired rental property.
