Fridge/Freezer - Large (550L+)

Fawcett VIC 3714

Fawcett Hall’s current commercial fridge is now 16 years old and nearing the end of its working life. After supporting our community through drought, COVID and, most recently, the January 2026 Longwood bushfires, it has certainly done its share of heavy lifting. Since the bushfires, Fawcett Hall has operated as a community-led recovery hub, supporting more than 150 fire-affected landowners and families and hosting recovery activities, community gatherings, meetings, information sessions and visiting support organisations. Our local refrigeration contractor has advised that the fridge is failing and replacement components for its workings are now difficult or no longer available. The Hall committee is therefore seeking a replacement commercial fridge of a similar size and capacity, ideally a Thermaster Colourbond Upright Beverage Fridge – 2 Door Black LG-1000BP, or a comparable commercial unit. https://restaurantequipment.com.au/products/thermaster-1000l-two-glass-door-colourbond-upright-drink-fridge-black-lg-1000bp has them for approx $2421.10 atm. A reliable commercial fridge will allow the Hall to continue supporting recovery activities, community events and gatherings, while replacing an essential piece of Hall infrastructure that has reached the end of its serviceable life.

Recipient story

A bushfire-affected rural community continues to rebuild, with many farming families still recovering after the disaster.
2026 Victoria Bushfires
Eight months after a devastating bushfire, many rural landowners are still working to rebuild their properties, fences and farming operations. Recovery work continues across large areas, often in difficult terrain and challenging winter conditions.

For many families, replacing essential work equipment has become a lower priority than rebuilding homes, sheds, fencing and livestock infrastructure. As a result, some are continuing recovery work with worn or unsuitable footwear.

The local community recovery hub is helping eligible fire-affected landholders access practical support so they can safely continue rebuilding their properties. Every donation helps reduce the financial burden on farming families while supporting the long-term recovery of this resilient rural community
