Six months after a devastating bushfire, many rural landowners are still working to rebuild their properties, fences and farming operations. Recovery work continues across large areas, often in difficult terrain and challenging winter conditions.
For many families, replacing essential work equipment has become a lower priority than rebuilding homes, sheds, fencing and livestock infrastructure. As a result, some are continuing recovery work with worn or unsuitable footwear.
The local community recovery hub is helping eligible fire-affected landholders access practical support so they can safely continue rebuilding their properties.
