Although this resident’s home was not destroyed in the January bushfire event, it was very closely threatened. The fire destroyed water tanks, pipes, and associated plumbing infrastructure, which now requires significant and costly excavations to replace and connect from the catchment area to the home. Without a reliable water supply, she and her 3 children are unable to live at their principal place of residence until she can save enough money to restore the connection. In the meantime, they must travel frequently between their temporary accommodation and their home to maintain the two residences. This is a costly situation, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
