This woman has experienced domestic and family violence, significant trauma and ongoing housing instability. Since late 2023, she has experienced homelessness, including sleeping in her car, rough sleeping and relying on temporary accommodation.
She is currently in short-term supported accommodation, which ends on 2 November 2026. We are actively seeking shared accommodation and may be able to extend her stay briefly if housing is not secured in time.
She relies on Centrelink and, after accommodation costs, child support, medications and other debts, has approximately $18 remaining for living expenses. She also lives with complex PTSD, anxiety and depression.
We are seeking a mobile phone, as she currently has no reliable way to maintain contact regarding housing and support referrals. Funding for vouchers would also assist with essential items, food and household needs while she establishes herself in new accommodation and manages bond and rent costs.
