Recipient story
Financial hardship has made swimming togs unaffordable, preventing the children from joining compulsory swimming lessons.
Other hardship(s)
2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred
Christmas 2026
The family is currently experiencing significant financial hardship, impacting their capacity to meet the children's basic needs and associated expenses. Due to these ongoing stressors, purchasing essential items for the children has become difficult.
Additional financial support would provide the family’s two young daughters with valuable opportunities to develop their skills, build confidence, support their physical wellbeing, and participate in positive and enriching childhood experiences. Currently, the children cannot access swimming lessons due to the financial costs associated with purchasing swimming togs.
Support through GIVIT to provide swimming togs, along with other essential items, would help reduce this financial pressure and ensure the children can participate in expected school activities to support their inclusion, wellbeing and development.
