Recipient story
Facing years without a safe home, this young person now has stable housing and renewed hope for the future.
Homelessness
Other hardship(s)
This 25-year-old young man has experienced homelessness since his teenage years, sleeping rough, staying in abandoned homes and squats, and moving between refuges and supported accommodation. Despite significant challenges, including family neglect and social isolation, he has shown remarkable resilience and determination throughout his journey.
After facing the prospect of homelessness once again, he has now secured long-term permanent housing, providing the stability he has never had before. With no furniture, household items, or basic belongings to furnish his new home, he is effectively starting from scratch. Having never owned his own bed or many of the everyday essentials most people take for granted, this opportunity represents so much more than housing. It is a chance to create a home, build independence, and look towards the future with hope.
Any support would make a meaningful difference in helping this deserving young man establish his new home and begin this new chapter.
