Recipient story

10 year old boy needs his bike fixed so he can get to school.
First Nations Support
Other hardship(s)
This request is for a 10-year-old boy who had excellent school attendance during the first half of the year. Unfortunately, after breaking his arm, he was required to travel to Perth for ongoing medical appointments, which significantly impacted his attendance.

His mother has worked incredibly hard to support his return to regular schooling despite facing considerable barriers. The family has no access to private transport, and there are no nearby bus services available. The young person had been relying on his bike to get to school, however it has recently broken and requires replacement parts to be repaired.

Assistance with bike parts would enable him to independently travel to school, helping improve his attendance, maintain his education, and continue rebuilding a positive school routine following a challenging year. Bike parts and a helmet and lock would be roughly $100
